Mechanical Engineer - Crewe

A new and challenging opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to work for a well established company based in Crewe.

Purpose of the Mechanical Engineer Role:

Responsibilities will include System Design, interfacing with customer mechanisms, new product development, product improvements, documentation and Bill of Material generation.

Meet and liaise with clients regarding ongoing and future projects. Carry out detailed design tasks (calculations, specifications and product selection) regarding mechanical issues.

Sizing and selection of mechanical components fitted to the client's and third party range of motors to meet the customerís requirements.

requirements of the Position:

The successful candidate will have a background in automation and servo transmissions. Computer literate and familiar with the Microsoft office and Autodesk Autocad.

Mechanical assembly and operation / setting of machine tools.

Develop new drawings, assembly diagrams and build instructions as required for prototypes and operational use.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Good general standard of education.

Good communications skills, both written and oral.

Experience of working within ISO 9001 would be beneficial.

Experience of LEAN manufacturing principals would be beneficial. Ability to work solo or as part of a team.

Hours of Work:

This position is permanent. Some travel may be required, both domestic and overseas.
