Job Description
Up to 12 month maternity cover.
Our client requires high level technical and administrative support to our professional engineers, project teams and Programme Managers. You will be asked to contribute to a successful project delivery by generating, collating, manipulating and process engineering data using some of the latest software packages. You will assist in:
The maintenance of project files and registers
The upkeep of drawings and other technical data
The organisation and storage of computer software files
You may also take and write up minutes of technical and project meetings or you may be asked to undertake financial reviews and reports and complete planning activities.
Requirements
A-Level passes in Mathematics and English
PC literate and numerate
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
An ONC/HNC/HND or a diploma or degree in a scientific or numerate discipline would be an advantage as would experience in an engineering or technical environment.
Essential skills
Full UK driving licence
Person Specification
Our client is looking for a confident and articulate person who has excellent computer and IT skills, is enthusiastic, flexible and presentable and has a good attention to detail. You will be a team player with a ‘can do’ attitude who is able to take responsibility and work from their own initiative.
Ideally, you will have had experience in a similar technical role and be used to producing material to defined templates. You will have experience of working in an environment requiring the ability to read and extract salient data required of the task. You will take your professional responsibilities seriously and will be challenged to deliver quality work in a timely manner. You will be able to demonstrate a proactive approach to your work, the nature of this role is one you can develop and extend in line with your increasing confidence and skills
